Celebrate an amalgamation of Indian folk traditions and cultural heritage with a splash of colors, rhythm of drum beats and joy de-vivre at Surajkund in Faridabad, Haryana.

A part of the Kalakar Trust activities, this museum was created to foster and preserve Indian art and support its artists. The idea was to build a permanent venue for display of tribal artefacts. The jewellery on display is made of glass, bone, brass, white metal, silver and gold plate. The collection, which consists of prayer beads, necklaces and amulets, also has local pieces such as Hanuman ji ka Mandaliya, Sketcha and Jondhali Haar. These culture-laden exquisite pieces are gathered from all across the Indian sub continent.

Badkhal Lake was a former natural lake situated in Badkhal village near Faridabad, in the Indian state of Haryana, about 32 kilometers from Delhi. Fringed by the hills of the Aravalli Range, this was a man-made embankment.

Aravalli Golf Course, set up by Haryana tourism in 1988 is located at Faridabad town on Delhi-Agra (National Highway No.2), about 30 km from Delhi. The first golf green was initially set up in the year 1966 with a building designed by the famous architect named Joseph Allan Stein. The lush, green golf course sprawling over an area of 45 acres of land was designed by Stephen Kay, a renowned golf course architect from the U.S.A and has an 18-hole facility.The golf course had the distinction of holding annual Golf tournaments, in which a wide range of amateur and professional golfers participate.

The town park situated at sector 12 in Faridabad is a popular leisure spot of the people. The main attraction of the park is its verdant green lawns with a variety of natural trees and plants. It offers various rides specially for children and a couple of eateries. It is a perfect place to enjoy and relax with the entire family.

This is the second largest temple complex in India, and is dedicated to Goddess, Katyayani. It is located at Chhatarpur,on the southwestern outskirts of the city of Delhi and is just 4 km from Qutub Minar, off Mehrauli-Gurgaon road.

The temple was established in 1974, by Baba Sant Nagpalji, who died in 1998. His samadhi shrine lies in the premises of the Shiv-Gauri Nageshwar Mandir within the temple complex.

This temple was considered as the biggest temple in India and second largest in the world, before the Akshardham Temple was created in 2005 in Delhi. This temple is totally constructed from marble and on all the facets there is jaali (perforated stone or latticed screen) work. It can be classified as vessara style of architecture.

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple located on Badhkal-Surajkund road in Sector 16A of Faridabad is popularly known as Sai Dham. The 5.25 feet imposing white marble edifice of Sai Baba installed here seems to be empathetically looking on his devotees and detaching his grace on all around. There are also idols of Dhuni and Dwaraka Mayee, which were kept in separate places inside the temple.

Established in 1996, St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church is located 4km east of Faridabad near Sector -2 in Ballabgarh. It is one of the oldest churches in NCR that came into existence in 1981.

The tomb of  Baba Farid located in Faridabad is a popular pilgrimage for local people. It is believed that Faridabad  was named after this eminent Sufi saint, who is said to be the founder of the city.

Qutub Minar, at 73-metres, is the world's tallest rubble masonry minaret. Along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it, it forms the Qutub complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tower is located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi.

The Minaret of Jam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in western Afghanistan, is thought to have been a direct inspiration for the Qutub Minar, which was also built by the Ghori (Mamluk) Dynasty. Made of red sandstone and marble, Qutub Minar is a tapering tower with a diameter measuring 14.3 metres at the base and 2.7 metres at the peak. Inside the tower, a circular staircase with 379 steps leads to the top.

Situated at a distance of 20kms from Delhi ( 8 Kms from South Delhi) Surajkund is a village in Faridabad lying between the villages of Baharpur and Lakkarpur. The Surajkund complex, believed to be built by the Rajput King Surajpal of Tomar dynasty, consists of a beautifully done-up Rajhans, a garden and a pool of fresh water - Siddha Kund, which is believed to have healing properties. Surajkund literally means 'Lake of the Sun'.
